Balgarovo is a small town located in the southeast of Bulgaria and it is part of Bourgas Municipality, Bourgas District. It is situated 15km from town of Aytos and 50km from Sunny beach resort and 21 km northwest of city of Burgas.
Balgarovo has a rich history. On the territory of the town have been discovered settlement mounds, remains from prehistoric settlements from the Bronze and Iron ages and from the Ancient Times. The town is mentioned in the Ottoman registry books from 1676. After the Russian -Turkish Liberation War of 1828-1829 almost the whole population immigrate to Moldova. The settlement is known under the name of Urum Eni Kyoi until 1934. Balgarovo is specialized in the production of grains, fruit and vine growing.
